Why not. There’s no smarter fibre than wool. It’s temperature regulating, anti allergy, moisture wicking, completely sustainable and we have an abundance of it here in the UK. British Wool is in our DNA.

Why Hemp
Hemp is one of the strongest and most sustainable natural fibres in the world, using less water and improving soil health. When combined with British Wool hemp creates a naturally balanced sleep environment.

Why Organic Cotton
We choose GOTS Certified cotton because it’s kinder on the skin, breathable and produced to the highest social and environmental standards. It’s grown without harmful pesticides and it’s certified throughout the entire supply chain from the farm to the finished fabric, complementing traceable British Wool.

Sheep grow their fleeces continuously over the colder months and when it gets warmer in early summer they are sheared as part of a natural cycle. We are working with a select group of farms that specialise in Cheviot wool and we ensure they are paid a fair price for this noble fleece.
The British wool is then sent to be graded - this determines it’s quality - ranked by softness, length of staple and brightness.
The wool is then double scoured (cleaned) with only natural water to ensure it maintains all of its properties and is soft yet doesn’t hold a strong odour. No chemicals are used in any of our manufacturing processes.
It is then delivered in bales to our UK workshop where it is carded (combed) into soft, lofty webbing. We choose carded wool in all of our products to ensure an even and stable fill without any clumping or migration. Floks is the only bedding brand to make wool pillows in this way.
These webs are then layered on top of each other to the desired thickness and covered with a premium organic cotton shell.
Duvets are finished with our signature exclusive corner pockets. Pillows are finished with easy closing zips to ensure maximum adjustability.
All our wool bedding is delivered in our exclusive Floks reusable recycled cotton canvas bags.
