Wool mattresses

April 2nd, 2025

From delivery and settling time through to rotation schedules and stain care - everything you need to know to look after your Floks wool mattress.

Your Floks mattress is handcrafted using naturally breathable fibres and thousands of pocket springs to provide exceptional comfort and support for years to come.

When your mattress arrives

Once your mattress has been delivered, allow it to breathe for a few hours before making the bed. Opening a window will help fresh air circulate while the natural fillings recover from transportation.

Rotating & Turning

During the first 12 weeks, regular rotation helps the natural fillings settle evenly as the mattress adapts to your body.

Turnable Mattresses

(Perfectly Floks, Highly Sprung & King of the Springs)

  • Rotate one week.
  • Turn the following week.
  • Continue alternating for the first 12 weeks.
  • Thereafter, rotate and turn every six months.

Single-Sided Mattresses

(Floks Away & Pillow Top)

  • Rotate weekly for the first 12 weeks.
  • Thereafter, rotate every six months.
  • These mattresses should not be turned over.

General Care

  • We recommend using a breathable mattress protector to keep your mattress clean.
  • Spot clean only using cool water and a gentle natural detergent.
  • Allow any cleaned areas to dry naturally.
  • Natural fillings will settle over time, creating gentle body impressions. This is completely normal and forms part of the mattress adapting to you.
  • Pair your mattress with breathable bedding, including natural wool duvets, pillows and hemp and organic cotton bed linen, to enjoy the full benefits of a naturally temperature-regulating sleep environment.

Every Floks mattress is backed by a five-year guarantee.
